Deana "Dee" Burch began her career with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office in 1969 as a commissioned Deputy sheriff in charge of delinquent tax warrants. She has also served as criminal secretary and dispatcher. In 1973, Dee assumed the role of bookkeeper and is now Chief Deputy over the Services Division

Dee is a graduate of Seminole (OK.) High School and attended Oklahoma State University. She is an active member of the National Sheriff's Association and is currently co-chairman of the 2002 NSA conference to be hosted by the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office in June, 2002. Dee is also a member of the Oklahoma Sheriff's Association, Oklahoma Sheriff's and Peace Officers Association and Oklahoma Women in Law Enforcement.

During her service to the citizens of Tulsa County, Dee has always taken an active part in the Tulsa Area United Way Campaign. She has participated in the Sheriff's horse patrol and with the late Sheriff Faulkners Junior Deputy Program and Rodeo.
