Habitual and aggravated sex offenders are required to verify their home address every ninety (90) days. All other sex offenders are required to verify their home address according to the risk level assigned to them by have to do so at least once a year.
Most of the information contained in a registration record has been provided by the registrant. Therefore, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Department cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information. Through regular correspondence and cooperation with local police departments and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, registrant address and other information is updated frequently in an attempt to improve validity. However, it is common for offenders to move and fail to notify the Tulsa County Sheriff's Department or their local law enforcement agency of their new address.

County Sheriff's Department shall not be responsible for use or reliance on information
provided, or the lack of any information, that might result in injury or damage
of any kind.
Sex offender registry information shall not be used for retaliation against the registrants, their families, or their employers. Acts of vandalism and verbal or written threats are illegal.
SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION ACT
The legislature additionally finds that a system of Sex offender information registration
will permit law enforcement official to identify and alert the public when necessary
for protecting public safety. Oklahoma Law requires all convicted sex offenders
to register their current address with the local law enforcement agency. The law
requires agencies to make that information available to the public.
STATE OF OKLAHOMA
All sex offenders, as defined in 57 O.S. Supp. 1997, Section 582, have a duty to
register with the local law enforcement authority having jurisdiction in the area
where the person intends to reside or to stay for more than seven days in accordance
with Oklahoma State Statute 57 O.S. Supp 1997, Section 583. If a sex offender changes
address, the offender shall notify the appropriate agencies in writing no later
than three days before the offender establishes residence or is temporarily domiciled
at the new address. If the sex offender changes address to another state, the offender
shall register the new address with the appropriate agencies in the new state not
later than 10 days before the offender establishes residency or is temporarily domiciled
in the new state, if the new state has a registration requirement.
