Law Enforcement History:
1981 to Present – Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office

Brian Edwards began his career at the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office under the leadership of Sheriff Dave Faulkner on March 9, 1981. During his career he has worked in all TCSO divisions. He was the original supervisor of the first Gangs Intervention Team in Tulsa and instrumental in developing the Tulsa County Reserve Program.

The Undersheriff is the commander of daily operations at the Sheriff’s Office, overseeing planning and research, special projects, critical incidents, disasters and any special events hosted by the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office.

He is in charge of making sure that the Sheriff’s Office is always on top of Homeland Security issues and that our officers are well-trained and prepared to serve in a moment’s notice.

The Undersheriff heads all departmental inspections, ensuring that all employees adhere to office policies. In addition he is in charge of coordinating the department’s 5-year plan consisting of short and long-term goals. This plan falls upon the shoulders of the Undersheriff to insure that steps are being taken to achieve the goals and objectives of the Office.

• Developer of the Tulsa County Reserve Program
• Implemented Driver’s Training program for deputies.
• Developed investigation expertise on carnival fraud Committee
